Rotary Club of Cardiff Llanishen brings Wishing Well to Lisvane Festival Fete

The Rotary Club of Cardiff Llanishen was delighted to take part in this year’s Lisvane Festival Fete on Saturday 13 June, the colourful curtain-raiser to the two-week Lisvane Festival 2026.

Members set up the gazebo alongside the festival’s stalls, cakes, inflatables and games, where visitors could find out more about the club’s work supporting local and international causes. The popular Rotary Wishing Well drew plenty of attention, giving fete-goers the chance to drop in a coin and watch it spiral down, with proceeds going to charitable causes supported by the club.

The Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Councillor Michael Michael, paid a visit to the Rotary stall during the afternoon, taking time to chat with members about the club’s recent activities, including its support for the Llanishen Foodbank collection.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by, donated, and showed an interest in joining Rotary. The Lisvane Festival continues over the coming fortnight with a packed programme of events including a pub quiz, fun run, golf day and the ever-popular Llysfaen Singers concert – full details are available on the Lisvane Community Association’s Facebook page.
