Introduction from the President

Llanishen Rotary Club celebrates 45 years in October 2023. During those 45 years we have carried out many community projects in North Cardiff.

One of early projects was to provide support to a family of the Vietnamese Boat people, we also provided gardening support to the older members of the community. The club also provided small tables and chairs for children  requiring help with their development. This project was carried out in support of the children’s development unit at Heath Hospital, with the tables and chairs being made in the workshops of Cardiff prison by some of the inmates. Handicapped children were also taken on day trips. In the years following we
supported other clubs in Cardiff with disabled sports and bowling for the blind.

Our Rotary Club also provides help and support on an International basis, providing Shelter Boxes for disaster areas and the provision of medical equipment and financial support for eye Hospitals in India and much more.

We also organise social events such as Christmas in Llanishen Village with

school choirs and the arrival of Santa and in the summer we host a Hog Roast for friends and family.

All these activities and projects require people to man the projects and in our 45th year we are looking for further members to help us continue and develop our support of the community and others. Please do consider the possibility  you may well enjoy in supporting the work we do whilst enjoying being part of a very friendly organisation.

If you would like to be part of a very friendly and supportive organisation, please join us today.
