The Rotary Club of Llanishen has once again demonstrated its commitment to tackling food poverty in the city, collecting an impressive 233.2kg of food for the Cardiff Foodbank, That’s 100kg more than April! The donation, gathered during a collection evening last Wednesday, will provide vital support to 20 local people in need.
With Cardiff Foodbank CEO Rachel Biggs recently highlighting a stark gap between rising demand and falling donations across local media, the Rotary Club hopes this latest success inspires a steady stream of future support.
Our next foodbank collection date will be on Wednesday 15th July, just before the school breaks for the end of term and the school year.
