The Rotary Club of Cardiff, Llanishen supports the Alzheimer’s Society to run an Annual Club Lunch. It features Student Entertainments on the 1st Tuesday of each month at Cyncoed Methodist Church from 2.00pm to 3.30pm. It is intended to be a friendly welcoming place for individuals living with dementia to come along with caregivers, including family members, friends and those who offer support. All are welcome. The Music and Memory Café provides light refreshments and is intended to be a great place to meet new people, connect with others, make new friends and have a bit of fun.
There is the opportunity to take part in structured and stimulating activities, which can include bingo, quizzes, singing, playing percussive instruments and low impact games. It is also a place where carers can get useful information and some light relief. Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Advisers are in attendance to offer a friendly word of advice, provide useful information or just to have a chat.
