WHAT THE CLUB GETS UP TO
The Club’s Youth Speaks competitions are held locally and nationally to support & encourage the development of effective communication skills.
Every year the Club sponsors up to 4 young people aged 17 – 19 to undertake the RYLA leadership and teamwork programme 6 days in the Brecon Beacons.
Llamau Youth Homeless
We have a developing partnership with the leading charity in wales supporting young homeless people and victims of domestic violence.
Primary Essay & Speaking Contest
The Club enjoys a productive relationship with primary schools in North Cardiff and Caerphilly.
We provide the Colin Baber Essay Writing Competition and Dennis Yapp Junior Speaking Competition.
Disability Sports, Gateway Boat Trip & Kids Day Out
Each November Rotary stages a Disabled Sports Day in Cwmbran and we support this by selling raffle tickets at local supermarkets and by manning a penalty shoot out competition.
Alzheimer's Society Dementia Cafe
The Club supports the Alzheimer’s Society in providing the Denetia Cafe at the Whittaker Lounge, Beulah Baptist Church, Rhiwbina, on the first Tuesday of each month between 2 and 4pm.
Feeding the Street Homeless
The “Feeding the Homeless” project is part of a larger organisation called the “Rainbow of Hope” for which several Club Members are volunteers.
Working with Schools
A number of competitions initiated by the Llanishen Club have been repeated annually over many years and we ae pleased to provide participation certificates and prizes.
A record-breaking Rotary Foundation Global Grant will fund vital medical equipment on the world’s largest purpose-built charitable hospital ship
Our club is a very friendly local Club wishing to expand membership. We support local and International Charities. We offer three levels of membership, to fit modern and busy life styles.
This level of entry, gives the opportunity for new members to experience Rotary as and when they can at a reduced membership fee, with the intention of becoming a full member.
Following completion of an application for the member will be fully inducted to full Club Membership

Corporate membership enables companies to support up to four employees to represent them at Club on a Rota to make sure continuity is established with Club activities and projects.
